Another #100dayproject just completed! This time my theme was #100daysofbeachfinds incorporating a beach walk/clean to collect the source material then a daily drawing of some of those finds. Man-made & natural items combined to create a collection of postcard sized images.
Over the past few years we have installed 2 Memory Trees for Cornwall Hospice Care at Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell & St Julia's in Hayle. Exploring surface textures, paint effects & unique surfaces with alternative materials has given me a plethora of new ideas! I am looking forward to creating new artwork incorporating some of these techniques.
The annual event in St Just at Cape Cornwall School continues until 5 pm Friday this week. The show raises fund for Cancer Research UK & includes over 200 exhibitors of art & craft work all made within a 30 mile radius of the area. I am exhibiting metalwork & artwork at the exhibition.
After a three day course with Hilary Jean Gibson, through the St Ives School of Painting, I created a sketchbook of observations made at the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden. Here I am sharing some of the pages & ideas.
