Re-Framed jewellery exhibition
(RE)FRAMED jewellery is art exhibition held at the Grow Box Cafe, Krowji, Cornwall this February. Curated by the ACJ Cornwall. I created a large 'Limpet adornment' neck-piece incorporating a collection of found Cornish limpet shells combined with a large metal 'limpet' form. The frame also included shells & created an interesting backdrop for the piece.

#100daysofbeachfinds
Another #100dayproject just completed! This time my theme was #100daysofbeachfinds incorporating a beach walk/clean to collect the source material then a daily drawing of some of those finds. Man-made & natural items combined to create a collection of postcard sized images. -
Memory tree commissions
Over the past few years we have installed 2 Memory Trees for Cornwall Hospice Care at Mount Edgcumbe in St Austell & St Julia's in Hayle. As I am currently working on another metalwork commission I thought I would share details of how these pieces developed & how you can order your own leaf from CHC. -

Experimental painting course at Newlyn School of Art
I have recently completed a really inspiring course of experimental painting with artist Dan Pyne at the Newlyn School of Art. Exploring surface textures, paint effects & unique surfaces with alternative materials has given me a plethora of new ideas! I am looking forward to creating new artwork incorporating some of these techniques. -
Still time to visit the show at St Just
The annual event in St Just at Cape Cornwall School continues until 5 pm Friday this week. The show raises fund for Cancer Research UK & includes over 200 exhibitors of art & craft work all made within a 30 mile radius of the area. I am exhibiting metalwork & artwork at the exhibition. -
Barbara Hepworth sketchbook course
After a three day course with Hilary Jean Gibson, through the St Ives School of Painting, I created a sketchbook of observations made at the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden. Here I am sharing some of the pages & ideas. -

Metallic texture metalwork
My latest work 'Metallic texture' is a combination of unique copper & brass designs. Each individual cut out piece has a one-off surface. Inspired by Barbara Hepworth & Troika pottery the framed assemblages have a 'retro' feel. -
The Heligan oak project 'The Lightening Dancer'
The oak project or 'Lightening Dancer' is a project I worked on with artist James Eddy at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. This involved the creation of over 500 copper oak leaves which are now on permanent display in the Stewards House within the garden.
