A quirky little puffin brooch created by Sharon McSwiney. Handcrafted in St Ives, Cornwall.
A stylised design which captures the features of these jolly looking little birds.
The oxidised copper colour finish is applied to a brass base. Details are then brush finished to highlight the designs. The brooch is then lacquered to protect the surface. Due to the handmade nature of this item there may be slight variations in colour & texture to the example shown.
The brooch approx weight is 6g. The catch mechanism will keep the brooch safe while being worn. Looks great on a jacket or jumper/sweater.
Supplied gift boxed as shown, ideal as a present even if you are treating yourself!
It is on my bucket list to see puffins in the wild one day. Whenever we go somewhere that we might see them it is the wrong time of year... On Anglesey a there was one pair in the distance on the sea but in Iceland they had all flown!!
