A one off metalwork creation inspired by the colours & patterns in nature.
A mini metal panel in copper & brass with etched & applied leaf motifs. This piece features an acer,sycamore & ginkgo leaf.
A copper or brass section has etched decorative leaf designs. Flux and heat create the interesting colour variations. The links are soldered closed in between each section so will not pull apart.
The piece has been lacquered to highlight the colours & protect the surface.
SIZE: The piece measures approx 23.5 cm x 5.5 cm. The square pieces are approx 5 cm x 5 cm
Designed for indoor display but could be placed outside - the metals will not rust but would patinate gently over time.
The last section has SMc initials stamped into it.
