Lovely little mermaid metalwork creation inspired by the Cornish coast. An etched brass mermaid are suspended with a starfish decoration & swirls of copper wire. The patterns are etched into the metal surfaces. She is holding up a little heart, has a shell 'bra' & is wearing a crown!
The pieces are individually silver soldered.
Flux and heat create the interesting colour variations & acrylic the verdigris effects.
The links are soldered closed in between each section so will not pull apart.
The piece has been lacquered to highlight the colours & protect the surface.
Designed for indoor display but could be placed outside - the metals will not rust but would patinate gently over time.
SIZE: 7 cm x 25 cm approx
SMc initials are stamped into the larger starfish section.
Please note as these pieces are all individually made by hand there may be slight variations in colour/pattern on each piece.
