A Badger character brooch created by Sharon McSwiney. Handcrafted in St Ives, Cornwall.
The badger brooch features a textured finish to represent the hairy nature of the animals. A happy little design to bring a smile.
The oxidised copper colour finish is applied to a brass base. Details are then brush finished to highlight the designs. The brooch is then lacquered to protect the surface. Due to the handmade nature of this item there may be slight variations in colour & texture to the example shown.
The brooch approx weight is 11g. The catch mechanism will keep the brooch safe while being worn. Looks great on a jacket or jumper/sweater.

Surprisingly there is quite a large badger population in St Ives, Cornwall ...with several sets even right within the town centre. We recently set up wildlife cameras and spotted a lot of activity. I once came face to face with one while walking home one night...I'm not sure who was more surprised me or the badger!!?
