Makers Fair & events

The Makers Fair is back after a 3 year break....over 70 Cornish makers will be at Penryn from Nov 4 to 6.  When I did this show in 2019 it was one of my busiest events & had such a lovely vibe about it.

I’m busy making lots of my metalwork leaves & Christmas decorations to display alongside my jewellery & larger metalwork pieces.

Opening times as follows:

Fri Nov 4 -  6pm to 9pm (cocktails available!)

Sat Nov 5 -  10am to 4pm

Sun Nov 6 -  10am to 3pm

Free parking

 

Other news is that I have made a decision about shows & events in 2023....

As I have been continually designing & making my work since 1990 I feel in need of a little ‘breather’...some time to develop new ideas, reassess & refocus.  So I have decided not to do any of the usual exhibitions & events I normally do during 2023 to see where that leads.  It is an exciting prospect to potentially have the freedom to explore new projects. 

I will of course continue with our lovely gallery on Island Square & the co-operative gallery Back Road Artworks.

One exception to this new plan is a show with the fabulous Louise Darby in June 2023 which has been booked for 2 years! I wouldn’t miss an opportunity to be involved with ‘Forces of nature’ at Clay Barn.

 

I am very aware that lots of the metalwork in particular is listed as ‘sold out’ on the website.  Please do contact me if there is something you are interested in as we may have a similar piece in the gallery but not on the website.  I find having the time to photograph & list pieces often very difficult – another thing I hope to address in 2023!
