We are all set up at the St Ives Arts club for another joint exhibition with knitwear designer Alison Dupernex.  This show ‘A Storm Over St Ives’ is our fifth collaboration of jewellery & metalwork with textiles.  The exhibition is being held in the historic St Ives Arts Club right on the seafront overlooking St Ives.  You may spot us glazing out of the windows at the gorgeous changing colours of the sea & the sky – obviously inspiration for our work!

Sea inspired knitwear and metalwork on display

Alison & I are both at the club everyday & available to discuss our work & demonstrate some of the techniques we use.  Alsion has her knitting machine with her & a fabulous selection of silk, cashmere & donegal yarns with which she is working.  I have been creating on some new designs; painting some more St Ives Seagull characters & have a selection of my sketch books which visitors can have a good look through to see where my ideas develop from.  I have my ‘Inspired by the Sea’ collections of jewellery & metalwork plus a range of metalwork greetings cards on display.
