Mermaid designs on the way….

While I’ve been at the Arts Club exhibition ‘A Storm Over St Ives’ I’ve had the opportunity to work on some new design ideas…often I will have plans for new things but it will often take me a long time to make space to develop them further.  Drawing etching artwork is quite a lengthy process from the initial sketch to filling a sheet with designs.  Sitting quietly in the Arts Club is much more suitable than my studio space with it’s tools & metal everywhere!

In the next few weeks metalwork mermaids, mermen & ‘Meowmaids’  will be appearing as wall hangings, on greetings cards.  I have also created some new etched motifs for the small metalwork greetings cards…look out for a cute caravan, St Ives Jumbo boat & an elephant!!
